THE ONLY FRENCH LIBRARY IN NEPAL

Alliance Francaise Library is providing the necessary learning materials for the people interested in French culture and literature for more than a decade.It has been under the management of the french culture centre,Alliance Francaise in kathmandu.
This library is located inside Alliance Francaise i,e.French culture centre in Kathmandu."It is the only one library in Nepal providing all materials related to France,its culture,francophones and French literature of all genras(both fictional and non-fictional)"said librarian Niranjan Neupane.He added "Its not only a place to borrow books but one can borrow films or CDs or DVDs to know more about France,its culture and development in totality."
A library member and student of Alliance Francaise,Narayan Prakash Mahatara said "I can get relief from my busy life watching french movies or by borrowing books from here."He further said "We can even get help from the librarians for doing our homeworks.The unique ambiance of this library and expouser to another cultural life make me spend my free time here."
"Apart from the students of Alliance Francaise,other French speaking guests visit us regularly.We have even a small corner for the children with toys and comics so that parents as well as children can learn being in the library."said another librarian Meera Thapa.
A student at Alliance Francaise,Sunita Kharel said"since this library contains books ranging from very easy to highly philosophical,every person on the way of learning french or highly educated has equal opportunity to get benifited."
Alliance Francaise library also provides councelling facilities about higher study in France.
